Failed P2V Linux Red Hat with Converter 4.0 Failed to clone

Hello,

when i want to import an Red Hat Machine in to our ESX Farm over the Power Converter 4.0 then the task i canceld by 3 percent wit the error: Failed to clone the volume mounted on / IP

I have read in the communitys that in the agent.xml the flag for keepsparsefile from false to true to change is. That i make but this is not the Solution.

In the Errorlog of the Export Files from Converter is see the following Error:

description = "'/usr/lib/vmware-converter/copyFileSystem.sh --sshClient /usr/lib/vmware-converter/ssh --user root --host 192.168.146.1 --port 22 --sourceMountPoint / --targetMountPoint /mnt/p2v-src-root/ --sshConfigFile /usr/lib/vmware-converter/ssh.conf --sourceTarOption --sparse' failed. Return code: 2; message:

/usr/lib/vmware-converter/ssh -z -F /usr/lib/vmware-converter/ssh.conf root@192.168.146.1 -p 22 " tar --one-file-system --sparse -C / -cf - ." | tar -C /mnt/p2v-src-root/ -xf -

ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host

tar: This does not look like a tar archive

tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

The IP 192.168.146.1 is the Source Machine.

Have anyone an idea??

Hi,

the Problem is solved.

Our Linux Collegeues have on the Source Machine the VM Helper IP not put in the Access Allow File.
