You need to create same networking configuration and connect box esx box with shared storage network so they can share same VM configuration and VMDK and then test VMotion you should migarte vm on esx01 to esx02 like right click on VM click on migrate button and then select destionation esx host where you want to move your machine after selecting dest. it will vaildate your configuration with destination and if success go ahead and select priority and finish wizard.. and then there you go....your machine will migrate on other host after few min. if this work then easy to implement HA and DRS..
