I teach security and have been using vmWorkstation so each student can have multiple machines with multiple OS to admin and secure. However, this does not easly allow students to to get access form different locations. The vm images are on local drives.

Does ESX, ESXi, or Server allow users to access a central system and have control over only their systems, including creating new systems?

Any insight would be helpful.
