Welcome to the Toledo, OH VMUG Community. Meetings can be held in the surrounding area - if you have a facility large enough to accomadate the group, please let me know at the meeting or post a response to this thread here. How large will the group be? We don't know yet, but the bigger, the better! The initial mailing list is over 125 people! I would also like to extend a welcome to people in southern Michigan to join the group.
The goals I have for this group are simple:
There will be time set aside at each meeting for people to network and share their success stories - or less than successful ones. The vendor and presenter selections will be made based upon member requests and relevance to product solutions so feel free to let me know what you would like to see.
The success of any group like this is based upon it's member participation. This can be as simple as sharing your story to volunteering your help with meetings. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the meetings.
P.S. - If you haven't registered for the May 1, 2009 meeting in Sylvania, you can do so here: http://campaign.vmware.com/usergroup/ug-signup.php?session=Toledo
Hope to see you there! - Kim Mensior
The goals I have for this group are simple:
- create the opportunity for VMware users to share their experience and for people looking for solutions to find help and recommendations
- bring VMware representatives and 3rd party vendors to our area for easier access to technology briefings and product information as it relates to VMware (no sales pitches)
- provide educational opportunities
