ASUS P5K-VM ESXi 3.5 working

Nice and cheap board: 8GB max. RAM, 4 SATA ports.

 

Just  added an IBM FRU 39Y6126 Intel PRO/1000 PT Dual Port Server Adapter and bootet from 1GB USB-Key.

 

 

Used a bequiet! 650W , scythe orochi and some 160GB WD 2,5 disks, you can't locate the server in my living room.

Can you give some more details about how you did it?

 

 

 

 

 

I am looking for a good mobo to install ESX on  a Pc. no scsi controller?. othe mobos wher I cluld add more ram? I am quite new to all this.
