Hi

I created the linked clone VMs in ESX Server using the linked clone script from the follwoing link:

http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-9020

But now i want to migrate the Linked Clone VMs from one ESX Server to other ESX Server.

Can anyone tell me if migration of Linked Clone is possible in differnt ESX Servers. If it is, please let me know the procedure how to do it.

Thanks

Pardeep Singh

Hello,

As long as the Master is available on a shared volume and the link clone properly references the master, I do not see that being an issue..... If you mean migrate the clone off the volume where the master resides, that could be an issue. If you mean VMotion.... not an issue.

You need to clarify what you mean by 'migration'

Hello,

It is in the .vmx file associated with each linked clone.
