Workstation 6.5.1 support for VMR9 / DirectX 9 ?

Hi all,

I'm trying to get an application running under a Windows XP guest on Workstation 6.5.1, but the app appears to require not only DirectX 9 but when I start it, I get the following dialog box:

Attached is the vmware.log file which I think shows that DirectX 9 is correctly configured for the guest and host. Is this VMR9 (Video Mixing Renderer) capability something missing from Workstation 6.5's DirectX 9 support?

I got the exact same problem with Computrainer. Please let me know when you know what to do. I am planning to try the boot camp on Mac instead of VMware.
