I thought I noticed something different today - WoodyZ has a monkey brain to his name! For those who don't know him, he's a huge help in the Fusion forums, though he has a lot of experience with other VMware products too. Thanks Woody!

(I wasn't sure if this was a better place than the traditional Virtualization Technology & Industry forum, but it seems to fit here better).

Eric, et al. I just now noticed this thread as I don't often look in the Virtual Lounge however I'd like to say thank you all for the recognition of this milestone. I'm often asked by the users I talk to on the phone while I'm logged into their system remotely fixing the more complected issues that are best taken care of remotely vs email "What are the points for?" and my reply is typically something like... well they add up to something but what I'm not sure, although I do know you can't buy anything with them! :)

Thanks much,

Woody

...wait, what?! Great, I guess my carefully-hoarded points pile isn't as useful as I hoped ;)

IIRC Back when Daryll Swager (is he even still with VMware?) was doing a lot to change the forums back then there was talk about getting coffee mugs and tee shirts, etc. with the VMware Logo on it or even a free copy of Workstation but I don't remember anything ever coming of. Oh well I guess I'll put my points in the draw with my S&H Green Stamps. :)

Congratulations Woody, you certainly have worked very hard to get there.

Even while the points by itself may not equate into some of that funny green paper (or something else more tangible) directly.
They sure mean that you have done a great job on helping out many many many (did I say many?) VMware users having problems with their virtual machines.
You did all of this on a free voluntary bases which by itself is a pretty noble thing to do.

Hats off to your sir!
