I am currently getting "The System administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" when trying to install VMServer Console 2.

I read that ppl have installed a patch for Win Server 2003 and it fixed the issue.

Is it the same for XP 64 bit?

Firemaple

Use the same MS KB925336. It has three solutions. A hot fix for 2003, a Registry fix and a policy fix. I used the third and it works fine.
