When I used to use Windows (2000 & XP) I used CCleaner and/or
EZCleaner to remove extra/temporary and unnecessary files which manage
to remain behind & take up residence on most computers. Both
programs work very well in WinXP and do clean up one's machine without
removing anything necessary,if you set up the options correctly.

I
installed CCleaner & EZCleaner on my XP portion of my VmWare but
when I ran either of them, there were a gazillion files which showed
they needed to be removed. There were so many....I was afraid to do
anything. Does anyone know if using one of these cleaners would remove
some necessary files from VmWare etc...

thx for any advice...
