Hi,

Does anyone know when all of the session presentations will be posted? I've seen some have been posted already but not all.

I read somewhere that everything should be posted by October 1st.

VMworld 2008 Sessions & Labs
VMworld 2008 Sessions & Labs will be made available online by the end of September. All paid attendees of VMworld 2008 will be able to view flash videos (audio over slides) of the breakout sessions from the VMworld 2008 conference as well as PDFs and MP3 podcasts for download. PDFs will be available for download for all manuals and presentations from hands-on labs.

That is good news, I never actually got to many of the sessions I wanted to, as I was spending most of my time networking, and building relationships (I think thats the technical term for wasting time and chating about interesting stuff)

ouch, I resemble that remark, that and the lounge and the Hyper-9 stand :) oh and a few others. the best things were in the Solutions Exchange rather than the sessions, I particularly liked the NEC stand for some reason that I fail to remember right now ;)

Thanks Eric. I'll check to see if everything is posted by next week (I checked today and there is still only a partial set of sessions posted).

So is there someone we can contact if there is a session we want to get our hands on that isn't posted? I wanted to look at AD4240 - Configuration Management in a Virtual Infrastructure by Erik W and Monica S.

My guess is you won't get an immediate response and if you do they will probably tell you to wait a few days until all the sessions are officially posted.

Well, I'm 3 hours and 8 minutes away from the end of September and all sessions and labs are not posted. :-(

latest from the vmworld website is they will now be posted by Friday: http://www.vmworld.com/vmworld/sessions.jspa. "VMworld 2008 Sessions & Labs will be made available this week. All paid attendees of VMworld 2008 will be able to view flash videos (audio over slides) of the breakout sessions, download PDFs or listen to MP3 podcasts. PDFs only will be made available for manuals and presentations from hands-on labs."

First it was by the start of VMworld, then it was by the end of September, now it's by the end of this week. Regardless, I laready have everything that was made available last week.

We talked about this in our podcast today, they have the drive back with all the sessions and are now going through the 300GB of data to get it ready for posting to the vmworld.com website. They are working hard on this and hope to have it finished in a few days.

Yes, just as Eric has described, all breakout sessions will offer PDFs, MP3 podcasts AND streaming flash presentations (audio over slides). Labs will offer PDFs of the manuals and presentations (some have additional lab exercises and scripts). But the labs will not come with streaming flash presentations. As an added bonus, all attendees will get access to all sponsor keynotes as PDFs, MP3s and streaming flash presentations as well. Check the site Friday for the release of this content. Cheers, Tony
