In 2.0b2, shared applications were pretty limited; I couldn't find a way to get Firefox 3 to launch FeedDemon in the Windows guest when I wanted to subscribe to a feed. (I ended up installing NetNewsWire just so I could sync it to NewsGator, and thus to FeedDemon.)
In 2.0RC1, that seems to have magically been fixed. All I had to do was:
1. In Fusion Preferences, under Default Applications, add FeedDemon as the default app for RSS feeds
2. In Firefox Preferences, under Applications, "Use FeedDemon -- MyVMname" now shows up as an option for the "Web Feed" content type
3. Magic! Clicking on the RSS icon in Firefox's Awesome Bar now launches FeedDemon with the correct URL.
