When performing Shutdown on ESXi 3.5 U2 a Reboot is performed instead turning off the machine

Hi,

 

I cannot successfully shutdown the ESXi 3.5 U2 host neither from the console nor from the InfrastructureClient, it always does perform a reboot instead.

What can I do so that the machine turns off after the shutdown process?

The machine has a Foxconn 6150K8MD-8EKRSH Mainboard with the latest BIOS (P12) and an Ubuntu LiveCD and a Fedora LiveCD manage to successfully turn off the computer.

Any ideas?

Hi everybody,

 

I am moving this to the top again since the thread is more than a week old now and I got no response and still need a solution.

Doesn't anyone have any idea concerning this?
