I received the following email alert and found one of the servers used in LabManager disabled. Any ideas what I should be looking for or doing to correct this.

The Managed Server 'server name' attached to VMware Lab Manager at x.x.x.x has been disabled as COW disk size of one of the deployed VMs on this Managed Server could not be updated.

Hi, Aaron-- In 2.5.3, we collect new information about the disks in the trees to help manage the disk chain. When we can't get the information for disks on a machine on a given host, we prevent deployments onto that host until we can; that is what you are seeing. The issue should go away once all the hosts are enabled after upgrade.

As Steve mentioned, LM is trying get disk information of all the deployed VMs and its failing for some VMs.

Can you try the following:
  • Make sure that the agent is upgraded correctly on all the hosts i.e. 2.5.3.666 agent is installed. You can verify this by going to the servers page and checking the Lab Manager Agent Version
  • Make sure that the managed server is reachable
  • Undeploying / Redeploying the VM should resolve the issue for that particular VM
