On pg. 10, the document says "The Home page serves as a jumping point to get to your servers and to configure your server list. If you have installed WSX on the same server where Workstation 9 has been installed, the virtual machines that you have shared in Workstation will automatically be listed under the Shared VMs server."

Unless there's an issue with WSX on my system, or there is a bug, for me this is not the case.  I'm only presented with a button saying "Add Server."  When I try to add my server (MY-PC), it says that it fails.

Perhaps some troubleshooting information may be useful?

Thanks,

Same behavior here.  VMs show up as "shared' in the Workstation9 client... WSX installed.  Logged in just fine.  I only have an " + Add Server" option... everything I try fails.  :smileyconfused:

By default the VM's within VMWS aren't shared. You will need to power them down right click and select MANAGE - SHARE. Walk through the wizard which will move them into your shared folder (i.e. C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Virtual Machines). Once they are located there log back into WSX and they should be listed.
