Placement of Request Fails

After upgrading to 1.0.2 and applying the hotfix I cannot place a vm. The server log has the following entries:

Modify rights for the requester role ; not allowed to put off a VM.

I want disable the possibility to turn off a vm for a requester user. We do not want our users (requester role) to put off their VM.

It is possible to change these option (in LCM or Orchestor)

LCM Microsoft plugin error

Hi,

I have an error with the microsoft plugin, LCM is installed and running but I get the error in the diagram below. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have tried deleting temporary files via the troubleshooting tab, reloading plugins, restarting service and rebooting server.

I'm french.

I am currently evaluating LM for its integration into our infrastructure. I configured a template to deploy a VM Windows 2003 R2 Standart x64.

The query process works properly. But the creation of the VM fails. The operation fails at 90%.

I have every time the same error : "Cannot deploy template: Cannot complete customization".

I do not understand. The product is not compatible with win x64 2003 ?

Can you help me ?

My configuration :

1 ESX server : 4.0 171294

1 Vcenter : 4.0 162856

LCM 1.0.2 Build 4415

We are currently evaluating and testing VMware LifeCycle Manager 1.02. There are still some question open, and I hope I can get them answered in this Thread:

1. Is the WebGui available in another Languag as English? As far as I have seen it is only in english?

2. Is it possible to customize the ''Requester-Site''? Meaning that the requester could also choose more than 1 Harddisk, define Disk-Size or additional questions etc.?

3. Can I block the options such as CPU or RAM for the Technical Requester? example: Thechnical Requester can only manipulate CPU and RAM, no Disks or Datastore!

LCM 1.1 Public Beta Access

I have been using LCM 1.01 for a while now and have been happy with it.

I see that there is a public access beta link at the top of this community page and wanted to get access to it.

When I click on the link and enter my VMware store account details I am told I am unauthorized and do not have the permissions to perform this action.

Is there something else I need to do to get access?

Any help greatly appreciated...;-)

LCM on vSphere

Hi all,

We have a vSphere test environment (VCenter server 4.0 and a ESX 4.0 host) and we installed LCM 1.0.2 on it.

Installation succeeded but the ESX 4.0 host does not appear in the LCM infrastructure. When i try to search the inventory it only displays "VMWare Infrastructure 3.5" but there is no 3.5 host in the environment.

Are ESX 4.0 hosts supported in LCM?

Multiple vCenter servers in Lifecycle manager

We have been running Lifecycle manage against our test VC server for a week and this morning I have added the certificates and servers for our 3 Global vCenter servers for a presentation to the VI 3.5 page in VMware vCenter Orchestrator Configuration. When I attempt to add any resource from the 3 production vCenters in lifecycle manager, the only server I can browse resources from is the original test server, all the other will allow me to click the + next to the server, however no results are returned.

Is there a limit on how many vCenter server you can use with lifecycle manager?

Anyone have any idea why this may be happening.

I am having problems creating a template profile in LCM 1.0.2.

When creating a template profile you need to select a 'Template to clone' but when I try to choose an excisting template the select page remains empty (see picture).

Where do we need to place templates?

Lifecycle Manager: default webview for LCM does not contains content

After configuring the VMO platform by browsing to http://lcmserver:3944/ and after starting the service from that interface, I try to browse to http://lcmserver:8080/vmo/lifecycle as indicated in the installation manual provided from vmware, but all I get is a message saying that the Lifecycle Manager webview doesn't contains any default.hml or index.html files. It's a VMO tomcat page who states this, not a standard 404 page. If I browse to http://lcmserver:8080/ I actually get some links and I'm able to click through the lifecycle manager, but again no luck.

When connecting with the VMO client I can actually see that the LCM webview indeed doesn't contains any files to host.

Did I forget something very basic? Those packages provided by VMware for "existing customers" do I need them perhaps? Or is that just for upgrade/migrtion purposes from the Dunes platform.

cant set a Decommission date other than a month.

we are having an issue when the LCM tech requester goes to set a Decommission date it will always default back to 30days no mater when he sets it to.

we used to get around this by using the Admin account (me) would log on change the Decommission date and then approve the request.

This no longer works I really dont know what has changes.

ok forget that I have worked out what was wrong. when running IE8 you cant set a Decommission date. ie6 and ie7 work fine for this.

When trying to configure the plugin and even when testing the LDAP user i'm getting this error:

I've seen people talking about the VMO Admin Group etc, but I do not have such group on my AD ... should it be created manually? Is it a requirement?

Also, is this info anywhere in the Admin Guide ?

LCM and Tomcat errors

Regardless of whether I'm running the appliance or a Windows Server VM, Tomcat is throwing a lot of dfferent exception errors. This happens regardless of browser used (Firefox 3.0.1 or IE 7.0.5730.13). Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm planning a Proof of Concept for Life Cycle Manager.

Where is it installed?
- Can it be on the VCenter server?
- Can it run on a seperate server?
- Any recommendation from those who have used it regarding where is best and resource requirement guidelines..
Is it easily removed without leaving traces behind? If it's a messy uninstall or if it hooks to much into the current environment, I may want to put it in the lab.
I see it's licensed by Host processor. Does something actually install on the Host or is that strictly for pricing.

I'll read through the documentation and other deployment guides but, I thought someone might have quick answers for these.

LCM Appliance OS Upgrade - Ubuntu 7.4 is EOL

Anyone had any luck upgrading the underlying OS on the appliance? It is running on Ubuntu 7.4 and unfortunately it went End of Life some time ago. I have also seen issues with the disk going into Read Only mode due to a known bug in 7.4. Not sure why 7.4 was used as the base but even 7.10 is EOL now. I think 7.4 was EOL when the appliance was created. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that the appliance was put together, but now I'm seeing issues in my lab that is used to demo to customers.

Grow Diskfile with VMO

Hi,

I'm using VMO to clone and sysprep VMs.

The workflow works fine but now customers requested larger os disks.

The clone from template task will create a 20GB Disk (Harddisk 1) and sysprep.inf is customized to extend os partition (ExtendOEMPartition=1). When I pause the workflow and grow the disk manually using vmkfstools -X or the vCenter API and then restart the workflow I end up with a larger os disk, just as I wanted.

How can I do the disk resizing part in vmo to automate the whole workflow again?

Here's the code I was working on, the replace and edit operations throw errors in VC (the workflow ends successfully):

LCM 1.0.1 - Mail Configuration Problem

Hi,

just installed the new LCM 1.0.1. I have one configruation problems:

Mail-Configruation:

If I define an smtp-Server and make apply, I get the error smtp_host_unreachable. The mail server can be accessed with telnet and is working. Network traffic shows no communication on port 25 only some echos going out and coming in.

We installed the 1.0.1 Version and it works on the same machine, so it have to be an issue with the 1.0.1 Version.

Painfully slow performance

Hello -

When running through the process of approving or placing a VM, the time between each screen/step is anywhere from 45seconds to 2 minutes. The LCM server is a VM running W2K3 STD with 2GB RAM and 2vCPUs. The SQL server is on a different VM running W2K3 with 4GB RAM and 2vCPUs. The process of approving VMs and placing VMs is so slow that the customer is considering not using the product.

Are there any tweaks that I can make to pep the app up?

User in multiple groups / LCM roles - approvals tab doesn't appear

Hi all,

I'm trying to place LCM users in multiple roles - specifically, IT Staff and Approver. The reason for this is that we want IT staff to choose the machine name and it seems this is set when the request is approved.

When I add user x to the "IT Staff" and "Approvers" AD groups used by LCM, and then log in as x, I can see items awaiting approval and approve them, but only when x first logs in as the approvals tab isn't there, which means x cannot, say, go to the catalog then back to approvals (have to log out then log back in again to access approvals). I've tried with firefox and IE, same result. It's bit difficult to explain in writing - the attached screenshot should make it clearer...

Anyone know of a solution to this?

When creating a Domain to set up for the workgroup "workgroup", I cannot select a network. I have 128 networks set up in LCM and can only "see" the first 20. I cannot add anything other than the first 20 Networks.

I get through the request and approval process fine but run into some problems when I want to place it.
Under placement I click setup and I immediatelly get asked for a datacenter

The mapping from the user's criteria could not be completed

I can choose any of my 3 datacenters from the dropdown menu but I can't see where I can automap it.
Where can I specify datacenter value in request or criteria setup?

Costing associated with template

Hello,

Management would like to use different costing when more RAM is required.
I know I can associate a cost when setting up a template.
I was hoping you could change the costing in the customization template bit it does not seem like it.

If my understanding is correct you can create a standard tempate and use a customization template that assigns a different amount of RAM.
However, It seems I will need to create a the same template again but with different amounts of RAM each time if I want to use a different cost.

I am about to investigate LCM. I have downloaded manual but haven't read it yet.
I was wondering if anyone has opinions on installing it in:

-a dedicated virtual machine
-a virtual machine that is already running vCenter, license manager and use vCenter database.

Changing default VM folder name?

Hi,

Under the Infrastructure tab, when setting up the VM folders I noticed that there is a default VM folder under each datacenter called VM.
Is there a way of changing this name when registering these folders? It is very confusing if they are all the same.

It also seems that these default folders are the only ones I can register. I was thinking about creating a folder and drag the specific datacenter in there
but it won't let me register that either.

No available server type when requesting VM

I have got a little further with my first LCM steps and I am trying to request a VM (as an administrator)

I fill in all fields as required, selecting from criteria drop down list. When I continue
I get the following message:

Warning: there is no available server type for your criteria. Return to the previous step and change your criteria.

I see a box that says *Server Type with a value of undefined.
What exactly is going wrong?
On the first page I set the Server environment variable to development but it seems this is not related?

Any ideas?

Hi,

I managed to install everything and am working my way through the configuration.
On page 52 of the administration guide there is a referal to variables that can be inserted into notification body.
However, I cannot see anything under the configuration options. Under configuration/edit email notification I can add the email addresses but
cannot see anything in regards to adding variables

#decommissionDate
#error
#requester
#ipAddress
#webviewUrl

Any ideas?

Storage management

I have recently gotten LCM working within our test environment. I was impressed until I found out that there is no storage mangement for the VMs within LCM.

I would like to know if there are any plans to include this in a future release or am I seriously missing this somewhere?

I would love to be able to deploy this solution, but unless client can allocate or request storage to fit their needs, the product fails to be truly useful.

We are currently testing LCM through the downloadable appliance. We have it configured and running.

One use case we have come accross requires requestors to be able to remotely administer the requested setups. It seems only Admins have this ability.

Does anyone know if/how to enable standard requestors to have access to these controls? (see attached image)

Hi Guys. I'm just in the middle of downloading the virtual appliance for LCM and while its coming down I thought I would just post to see if I could verify a couple of things.

I've seen a couple of demos showing some of the cool functionality in LMC and how it helps put control they deployment of virtual machines in an environment and has nice charge back features, well how about for existing Virtual machines can I use it to Audit an existing environment with say Hundreds, yes Hundreds of virtual machines ?

Any information would be appreciated.

Reports Download

Whenever I try to download a report in LCM the xml file opens in a browser instead of saving to disk. I am pretty sure this was working at one point. I have tried it from multiple machines and different browsers and still no file download possible.

Has anyone seen this or know how to resolve this?

There are a limited number of Reports currently available within the Lifecycle Manager product. I'd like to solicit suggestions here for additional reports. I'll get the thread started with a couple custom reports that I've already had a request for:

Report 1 Name: Datastore Details

Report 1 Fields: Datastore Name, Capacity, Free, Used, Percent Free, VM Count

Report 2 Name: Detailed Costs by Organization

Report 2 Fields: Request ID, Requester Name, Organization, Initial Setup Cost, Ongoing Monthly Costs, Provision Date, Decommission Date,Server Type, Server Environment, CPUs, Disks, Networks, Memory, Max CPU

Please submit your ideas or reports your organizations have asked for.

If LCM hits a placement conflict or exception that is not explicity covered by another error message, this one gets used:

LCM: Not enough free space on the datastore

eg I had two Guest Customization options valid for a particular set of criteria, and received this email notification:

There is not enough free space on the datastore used for the lcm-021 request. The request is currently in "Waiting For Placement" state.

Progress through the _S_etup workflow and select the correct customisation profile, and cloning starts.

Problem during archiving

I have a problem during the archiving of a decomissioned machine. The error code of the LCM is:

"TypeError: Cannot read property "config" from null (Dynamic Script Module name : getVMTotalSize#2)"

Can someone give me a hint what the problem might be? The volume has enough space to carry the VM.

Lifecycle Manager Appliance Setup

I am working on configuring the Lifecycle Manager virtual appliance, to see if it could be of any use to us. I have worked through the guide for configuring VMO and all the tabs are showing as green, but I do not know what userid/password to use to login to lifecycle manager itself. The ldap tab seems to have a default user of lcmadmin but does not give the password. If I change the password or try to add a new user a few of the tabs change to red, test login fails and I still cannot login.

I have not used ldap before so do not know how to troubleshoot this, any tips ? Has anyone here managed to get the appliance running ?

correctly) but the user for enter in http://LCM_Appliance:8080/vmo
don't work with user create in Active Diretory but only with default
user LCM Appliance.

The only credential that work is default Lifecycle Manager : lcmadmin / admin , lcmuser /user , ecc...

Can you help me, please?

I have try to change user for access into vmo web page but the connection failed if I try to access
into VMO with credential different from standard (lcmadmin/admin ,
lcmuser/user, ecc...define in LDAP embedded).

I have settting Active Directory and test login is successful.

With this work the connection into config web orchestrator: OU=Liste e Gruppi,DC=domain,DC=local (I have define in Liste e gruppi : lcmadmins)

for VMO admins I have set: CN=lcmadmins,OU=Liste e Gruppi,DC=domain,DC=local (I have add some user member of lcmadmins)

Can you help be because the connection with Active
Directory is successful but I don't enable to access into VMO with
credential of AD user's?

VM with two disks - deployment problem

Hi,

I need to create VM with two vmdks located on two different datastores. One vmdk hosts OS files and is located on Datastore1 while second hosts page file and tmp files and is located on Datastore2. I created appropriate criteria and infrastructure mappings. After the approval VM is not created automatically, because there is datastore conflict, ie LCM cannot decide where to place the vmdks (it can see both datastores). During manual placement I cannot decide where to place particular vmdk files, too, so all VM files are landing on one datastore in same VM folder. I experimented a little. I created two templates, one where all template files are located on one datastore and second where vmdks are located on separate datastores. It didn't help.

Did anyone encounter similar problem?

portgroup displayed only after restart LCM server

when i register the network in infrastructure, i create a new portgroup named "LCM network" in each host in cluster, i can see the new portgroup under each host, but i want to it display beneath the cluster folder. i logout and login, also try refresh, but i still can't see it. only after i reboot the LCM windows server, it displayed(in the blue rectangle). it seems some time delay in content sync.

i have successfully config the orchestra and the initial configuration of LCM. then i want to config the infrastructure, but i can't select the resource pool, datastore, VM folder. the user i log into LCM is member of administrators and IT administrators. i have create folder and resource group in VC, but in the LCM, i can't see them.

it's (for us) no solution to use a range of ip's where the ip's are give by the lifecycle manager automatically within the provisioning of the vm.

Issue was resolved by restarting the server.. One point to note is that none of the tcp ports were in use on the server, this was verified with Netstat, it would appear to be a crappy java issue.

URL to request email notifications

Email notifications are HTML encoded - so adding links is possible. There is already a #webviewUrl replacement text, which allows a URL to the LCM to be inserted into the email. And I've seen how you can added a little extra, like "/placements" or "/approvals" to get a link that will get a bit closer to what the email is about. But is there a way to include a URL that will take the person directly to the request? For example, when a requester gets an email announcing that a VM is available, it can include a link that will take them straight to their request, rather than to the catalog or requests page and make them hunt throuhg all the requests for their particular one.

Feature Request: Datastore selection based on max free

In the VI Perl Toolkit, the vmprovision.pl script (name from memory - is included in the 1.5 kit) selects a datastore from what the destination host/cluster has available.

It picks the datastore with the most free space, and continues on it's merry way - one less variable to worry about.

In an environment where datastores are all equal, would this be possible to implement ?

we're working with lifecycle manager since a few days.

seams to work out fine for most of our templates.

there is only one issue with templates with more than 1 nic.

there is always this message:

TypeError: Cannot read property "networkLabel" from null (Workflow:Set network properties for NIC for VIM 3 cloning operation / Set network (item4)#4)

is there a workaround for that or is it simply not supported by now ?

When specifying a Template Profile in Infrastructure, on the second page (OS Parameters) I am unable to select a Time Zone. When I click into the field it displays "undefined". If I click the down-arrow then an empty list is shown with the text "No item to display". This prohibits me from finishing the Template Profile since the Time Zone field is required. Feature Request: Unit costings based on resource config - not just template

We provision and charge for VMs based on a unit of capacity, plus OS management costs.

Currently, I can assign a setup value and monthly cost to a template. That takes care of the OS side.

But I cannot allocate a variable cost, based on the resources assigned to a VM.

For instance if I have a 2 Unit VM (2GB RAM/2GHz CPU limits), the capacity charge should be twice as expensive as a 1 Unit VM.

Plus the OS managements from the template on top of that.

Any ideas of a way to implement that now ?

How to remove server certificate

Calling VMO web service methods without passing username and password parameters

I am calling the web service methods:

However, both these methods (and others) require username and password parameters. This is a security risk because it's asking for username, password to be embedded in clear text in the code. Can these methods be called without supplying these parameters? I've tried putting "" and null in these parameters but it doesnt work.

After I set a request I go to approve it, and I get form LCM the Info “Request successfully approved.“ but on the Catalog and Request Page there is a red triangle over the VM with following error in the Event Tracking:

Can anybody tell me how to retrieve appropriate values for application defined item type?

Do I have to give the users more rights to the web view and where is it configured?

Is it correct, that only users from the "User lookup base" can be found? We have a very big AD and our users are found in different OUs. Is this possible to configure?

Problem with LCM connecting to VC-SDK

Hi,

we´re evaluating the LCM right now and ran into some trouble after the installation/configuration. Heres a short description of our status and the Problem:

The LifeCycle Manager (LCM) ist currently installed on a VM in our ESX3.5i Environment (2 Hosts Cluster).
Additionally the DB for the LCM (SQL Server 2005 SP2) is also installed on the same VM. This VM has a Windows 2003 R2 as Operating System, 2 vCPUs, 2 NICs and 2048 MB of Memory. The VM is also part of a Domain. I fully configured the Orchestrator and every red triangle changed to a green circle. While the Administraton access goes over the first NIC, the LCM Service is configured on the second.
Even though the Configurator says that the default ports are not free I can acces the LCM-WebView (and the Orchestrator via Client). Dont know whether this is meant to be this way or not. Some plugins always schow the following message, but they seem to work fine (Will perform installation at next server startup).

The problem is that when I login the LCM-Webview I cannot register any ResourcePools, Folders, Datasores, etc. I just get an empty window, where the object of my VC should be. The User I use is part of the VMO-Gruop in the AD and has Administrator-Rights in the VC.

VMO and new VI API 2.5

The LCM 1.0 Installation and Configuration Guide only mentions support for VMware® VirtualCenter 2.0x or 2.5x, but it's a bit non-specific. I believe I had read something with more details in the release notes, but the current release notes, seems to contain a lot less information than I remember.

Very simple setup, LCM Appliance, simple mapping for infrastructure to criteria. Can't get LCM to automatically place requested VM from template...Always ends up as manual placement for ITStaff to do.

At that point, manual set up by ITStaff member. Then VM gets placed in VI, looks good... Sysprep OK, etc...

Question is: Where can I find (which log and what message to look for) the specific reason why an Auto placement was not possible ?

Hi All,

I've downloaded the appliance to do some UAT and testing - everything installs OK, completed all the setups, so have "all green" in the VMO.

The issue I have is trying to now log into the LCM. Browse to http://ip/vmo/lifecycle and it's prompts for the user/pass. The installation guide then tells me to enter the username and password I configured in "Step 11". Step 11 doesn't tell me much. I have entered the defaults, the VirtualCentre password, everything.

It just won't let me log in. Invalid Username and Password - now unless it's been a particularly clueless day for me, what am I doing wrong?

LCM (or VMO) with remote MSSQL 2005 Database - SQL Browser service mandatory

I decided to use remote MSSQL 2005 Database to store data for LCM.
Unfortunetly the JDBC connector used by LCM needs the SQL browser service that our DBA team do not want to activate on the SQL servers.
Is it possible to configure LCM to connect to remote SQL Database without using the SQL browser service ?
As we supply in the Database panel all the informations needed (Server name, instance name, database name, port number, username and password), why is it still mandatory to use the SQL browser service ?

One of my VI envionment is for software testing projects. I have set the lifecycle for every testing servers. After the software would be released, these virtual machines will be shutdown forced according my own workflow (Just shudown, not destroy them). These machines status are all changed to the Finished-- End of life. They are hidden from the catalog tab. But sometimes, the project needs to reopen, and I also want to reuse these end-of-life machines. You know rebuild a set of testing environment may take several days. How can I reuse them? I also try to re-import the VMs from my VIM, the lifecycle told me that these machines have already linked with the lifecycle manager. And there haven't any entrance to modify the extension date after the machines' status became End-of-life. There is just a summary text in the status tab.

Could you give me some advice about it?

VMware Lifelycle Manager Appliance IP Settings

Hi all

I'm trying to set up VMware LCM 1.0 on ESX 3.5. I downloaded and imported the Appliance (OVM), all worked well. Then I started the VM and got the dialogue where to set password (for user "vmware") and all the IP settings. Having entered all settings (choosing STATIC IP), I verified and confirmed the summary. Finally, it told meto web-manage LCM via one of our DHCP IPs:3944. I assumed that this could be because the VM has been assigned an IP before I entered all the "Static-IP-Stuff". I called "ifconfig" on the console and it really had a DHCP IP (Web management worked for this IP too). As I do not have root access with the predefined User "vmware", I chose to reboot the VM via VirtualCenter. Logged in... and eth0 had no IP at all!

Can anyone tell me how to config the static IP for LCM Virtual Appliance?

Is there a way to get root access?

LCM need a Datacenter

when i will placed a VM over the LCM, i must type in a Datacenter. But i can't find a Datacenter. Where i can register a Datacenter or what ist my failure?

All of my servers are VM's with the following configuration:

ESX 3.5 Update 2
Windows 2003 SP2 running Virtual Center 2.5 & MS SQL 2000
Windows 2003 SP2 AD Domain Controller
Windows 2003 SP2 running VMware Orchestrator 3.2 & LCM 1.0

Not able to login to LCM Web

Hi,

I believe I have everything set up correctly as I have all green lights, but when I try to login to the web access for LCM I get the following message:

Unable to connect...

You have no access to the Webview

The user I am using is a domain admin and is the user I used all through the LCM setup.

When I go to create a VM and I get to the server type I get:

"Sorry, there is no available server type for your criteria. Return to the previous step and change your criteria."

I assumed I should be presented with the w2k3_r2 template. Apperanlty I did not interpret the docmentation properly or somthing else is wrong. Anyone care to point out what i am doing wrong?

LCM-Appliance Root Password

I've tried for the life of me to find the root password for the LCM Virtual Appliance that is available for download on the web but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know what the root password is for the LCM virtual appliance?

LCM not pulling all VC objects

When I am setting up LCM I can only access some of the objects in VC. I can access my datastores, I can create new Resource Pools, but not access existing datastores. I can see vm's that are hosted on one of my ESX Hosts, but not on any others. When I try to link a template I can't expand the vm container at all. I have restarted all the services including VC.

All of my servers are VM's I have the following:

ESX 3.5 Update 2 (Build 103908)
Windows 2003 R2 SP2 running Virtual Center 2.5 Update 2 (Build 104215)
Windows 2003 R2 SP2 running SQL 2005 SP2 for database
Windows 2003 R2 SP2 AD Domain Controller
Ubuntu 7.04 Server running VMware Orchestrator 3.2 & LCM 1.0 Build 360

For the Virtual Center 2.x hosts in VMware Orchestrator I have it so to "Share a Unique Session" and I have created an account that has full domain admin and VC admin privledges. All theareas of VMO show green and pass the tests that are available.

Any help would be appreciated as I have exhausted everything I can think of. I have reviewed the log files but nothing stood out to me, but then again I'm new to LCM so I'm not sure what to look for. I have attached a copyof the vmo log file.

Failed to create new VM machine

I just installed and configured a VMO with my VC. But when I want to create a new machine for a test. It always failed during the clone process with "customization failed" error. I found some error in the vpxd log. Can any one help for this?

I have two questions about webviews:
1° How can we convert 3.0 webviews to 3.2 compatible webviews (as the importation of 3.0 webviews on VMO 3.2 is possible but the webview remains disable in the webviews list page) ?
2° Is the webview "weboperator" usable by non VSO admin users ?
