      <description>Although not officially supported by VMware, Fusion can also emulate an Intel PRO/1000 network adapter too.  I have my XP machine on an e1000 and it works great.</description>

      <description>As Robert has pointed out the virtual network adapter is a AMD PCnet-PCI II compatible and your Windows install CD should already contain the driver, unless may be you are trying to install Vista</description>

      <description>The network card is an AMD PCNet Lance card.  XP should already have the drivers for it on the install CD.</description>
