Are you trying to convert the machine you are running the VMware Converter on or another machine?

What user account are you passing as credentials to convert the target machine? Make sure the account you're using is a local administrator on the server you're trying to convert. Also make sure there is enough space on the server you are converting.

Here are some threads that might be useful. If neither of these things help, post your Converter log files and we'll take a look.
While using Converter Standalone version 4.0 and 4.01 to create a converter file
The Summary has the following in it:

Source type: Power-on machine
Name/IP address: The machine hosting this server

               Virture machine name: BASHAW
Target Product: VMware Fusion 2.x
Distination Directory: G:\vmwarefiles

I keep getting the following after 27 seconds:

FAILED: Unable to create a VSS snapshot of the source volume(s). Error
2147754776 (0x80042318)

Thanks in advance for any help.
