The password is encrypted and stored in registry. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VMware, Inc.\VMware VirtualCenter\DB).&lt;br /&gt;

Yes it does. It uses ODBC so it is stored in the DSN. For vCenter it could be stored in vpxd.cfg as well.&lt;br /&gt;
