Issue has been resolved. It had something to do with the shared storage on the recovery site.

Still nobody famliar with this kind of issue? Could it be a license problem?

Does the 2nd VC server need a registred ESX host? Or is a single vc license enough?
Thanks for answering,

At the protection site I'm only able to select the "virtual machine folder" mapping, where I select the datacenter at the recovery site /datacenters/

The other two mappings "Networks" and "Compute Resources", I'm not able to select the datacenter at the recovery site, it's visible but I can't confirm the selection ("OK" button grayed out).

After that, the protection group I create doesn't let me select the datacenter at the protection site, the "Finish" button is grayed out.

Hi There,

Situation : two locations with 1 esx host on each location. Storage Replcation is setup between locations.

Location A

1 ESX 3.5 update 3

VC 3.5 update 3

HP EVA 5000

Location B

1 ESX 3.5 update 3

VC 3.5 update 4

HP EVA 5000

Licenses SRM_PROD en SRM_PROTECTED_HOST on both locations

in SRM:

Paring sites - Status green

Configure Arrays - Status green

Inventory mappings - Here is where I get stuck

Protection groups - Able to start the wizard but the button "finish" is grayed out.

Could this be a licensing issue?

Regards,

Erik
