      <description>of course not - its just a simple NAT-service - this passes packages based on IPs - it does not inspect those packages&lt;br /&gt;

      <title>Using NAT, Does the Host Check for Viruses?</title>

      <description>After installing a virus checker (Avast) in Guest XP64 in Host Vista 64 and using NAT, I wondered whether the Host was checking for viruses before it passed the internet data on to the Guest?  That would make it unnecessary to use a virus checker in the guest --&amp;gt; increased performance.  I doubt it but it seems worth asking.  Thank you.</description>
