hi,

the use of host serial ports is available if you use ESX, but not in ESXi.

are you realy using ESX?

Serial port in VSphere
Hi,

Is it possible to connect physical serial port to VM?

I see that there is such option in editing Vm, but, I can´t select serial port output to ˝Use physical serial port on host˝ option.
I have Fujitsu RX300 S4 server.

The reason why I need serial port is for external modem, that we use for fax purposes in share point portal.

Thanks in advance
