I have the same issue. If the guest OS (WinXP-Pro) is running when I sleep the Mac, I'll reboot on wake. If it's powered off, I won't.

Happens on my quad-core MacPro, but not my MacBookPro. 10.5.4 on both. RAID on neither.

I've tried the fix mentioned here <http://communities.vmware.com/thread/149302>, but it doesn't help.

100% reproducible.

Is is OS X 10.5.4 installed on a (soft) raid 1

Aha! This could be it - we've had a few other reports of RAID and spontaneous reboots: Fusion 2b1 causing spontaneous reboots (no kernel panic) on Mac Pro (& other) systems! Mac Pro with VMs on Raid0 crashes (Kernel Panic/reboot) when launched
It is very consistent, until now i would say it(reboot after hibernate) is 10 out of 10, the reboot after reboot-hibernate was 2 out of 10

Is is OS X 10.5.4 installed on a (soft) raid 1, i don´t think there is anything unsual running.

I have the paragon NTFS Driver installed, GeekTool, iStatMenus, TimeMachine, TunnelBlick.

Tomorrow i will spend some time on investingating why and when it happens maybe i can give you some pointers or logs.

How consistent is this, e.g. is it closer to 2 out of 2 or 2 out of 100? Anything unusual running on the Mac? What version of OS X?

2.0b2 reboot after hibernate
I have never experienced this in 2.0b1 but with 2.0b2 i have the following symptoms.

When i put my Mac to sleep with a running VM the System reboots after hitting the keyboard to wake it up.

In 2 Cases my mac reboots when i restarted the vm after the above mentioned hibernate-reboot.

For the record:

I have a 1GB VM with 32 Bit Debian (Lenny) on 8-Core MacPro with 12GB , no other VMs running currently.
