Good practice is to not have a virtual machine suspended across an update, especially a major one like 1.x -> 2.x. We try to make it work, but we don't guarantee it. Having said that, I suspect the timing is coincidental. You can "pull the plug" (this will lose unsaved data) by deleting the .vmss file inside the .vmwarevm bundle (see A Beginner's Guide to VMware Fusion if you need help finding this).

Windows Guest - XP will not resume under Beta 2.0
Hello,

Running into an issue that may be Beta 2 related.

I have a Windows XP guest that I was running under Fusion 1.x. After upgading to beta 2.0

I suspended the VM and now the machine will not resume.

I am not sure how to trouble shoot this, properly. Sorry for the misniscule amount of information.

The Progress bar for the VM indicates "restoring virtual machine state ..." and will progress nearly to completion, before stalling in perpetuity.

I have attached the Support Information file generated by Fusion, if that is able to be parsed by anyone.

vm-06-08-08.376.tgz

Thanks.
