That's perfect. Looking at vmware-0.log, this looks like a known bug that is fixed in Fusion 2.0b1. If you're willing to run beta software, give that a try and see if it fixes things.

I have a macbook pro with leopard and xp(fusion). I keep getting "VMware unrecoverable error, (UMX) Unexpected signal 11"

To diagnose this, we need the vmware.log and vmware-vmfusion.log files (see HOWTO: Ask (and Answer) Questions for help finding them).

Is there also a way of allowing my OS X to use the internet connection in XP in the VM?

WoodyZ wrote up a nice guide: Share Windows XP Guest Internet Connection with OS X Host HOWTO
I have a macbook pro with leopard and xp(fusion). I keep getting "VMware unrecoverable error, (UMX) Unexpected signal 11" The VM then shuts down and restarts...how can i stop this and why is it doing it?? I have just updated fusion but that has not solved problem...... I am conected to the net via a BT voyager USB modem which only seems to work on windows - not on OS X eventhough the drivers for mac are installed. Therefore my internet connection is through my VM. When I open the VM, XP doesnt recognise that the modem is plugged into the mac and so I have to unplug and replug it back in, in order to connect to the net. This is usually when I get the error message although it has ocurred at other times randomly. Is there also a way of allowing my OS X to use the internet connection in XP in the VM??????? I am very new to all of this and not particulally tech minded so simple answers would be useful!

Thanks in advance
