Restarting management agents VI3

Alternately, before re-adding the ESX host to VCS try restarting the Management Agent that runs on ESX.

CLI: service mgmt-vmware restart

Does this cause all of the vm's on that esx host to reboot?

No it dont affect the vm´s.
You will loose your connection to the VI client, but after the restart of the management agents you can login to the VI client again.
