Connections & Ports in ESX/ESXi v10Q3 in .PDF format.  Formatted for poster-size printing (2' x3')

Source: VMware Network Ports Compendium -v10Q3

I've modified the version number by removing the digit ("v7") and replacing it with the year ("10") and quarter ("Q3") that I post the update.  I will post updates early in the second month of each quarter.

Hi Dudley,

Not sure if this is unique only to our environment, but we also need ports 4045 and 4046 opened on our firewall so that our ESX/ESXi hosts can add the NFS exports presented by our NetApp (FAS6080) filers.  These ports were getting dropped by the firewall and our netops were able to see that and provided me this info.

I am not too sure if this is a NetApp specific requirement or if this is a NFS mountd notification that ESX needs but without that port open, we couldn't mount them as datastores.

Warmest regards,
